JTAPIC Support - TDAC

The Transformation Decision Analysis Center (TDAC) offers expertise and strategic capabilities in support of the JTAPIC mission, to include:

• Performing characterization of physical evidence from combat events and maintaining forensic custody.
• Performing event reconstruction on selected dismounted combat events via modeling and simulation.
• Performing comparative analysis between combat events and live-fire tests (both dismounted and mounted).
• Performing reverse engineering of combat events to obtain data about the threat and materiel performance (both dismounted and mounted).
• Providing vulnerability reduction recommendations based off data available through the JTAPIC partnership and SME.
• Conducting experiments (directly and through testing collaborations) to augment analysis as needed.
• Performing and participating in the development of JTAPIC analysis products.
• Perform and participate in the development of JTAPIC analysis products as required.
• Providing subject matter expertise, including injury biomechanics assessments, fragment analyses, personnel survivability/lethality assessments, modeling, and 3D scanning and computed tomography analysis, as pertinent to specific RFIs.
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of analytic tools and databases as required.

The Transformation Decision Analysis Center (TDAC) serves as a vital component of the U.S. Army Transformation and Training Command, operating under the Future & Concepts Command. At TDAC, our core functions are essential to supporting the Army's decision-making processes through comprehensive analysis.

TDAC analysis products are utilized and transitioned to other Army, Department of War (DoW), government, and industry customers. The Army relies on TDAC to provide the critical survivability and lethality assessments and analyses to military communities. TDAC competencies collectively reinforce our position as a trusted source of analysis, ensuring that we contribute meaningfully to the Army's transformation efforts.
